This fragrance was created drawing inspiration from the story of the *Triskele*, a symbol that embraces the three main cultures that colonized Sicily: Roman, Greek, and Arab.
“Three rays of light.”
That’s how the Celts interpreted the Triskele—a powerful emblem in pagan and Celtic culture. In Sicily, it was inherited through Greek tradition and stands out from other symbols with a monstrous figure at its center: a head from which three bent legs radiate outward.
This creature is the *Gorgon*, a mythical being. According to the Greek poet Hesiod, the Gorgons were the three daughters of Phorcys and Ceto, sea deities: **Medusa** (the most famous), **Stheno** ("the strong"), and **Euryale** ("the far-roaming"). Medusa, in particular, evoked terror with her boar-like fangs, serpents for hair, bronze hands, and golden wings. She possessed the power to turn anyone who met her gaze into stone.
The three legs extending from the Gorgon’s head each carry profound meaning. The number **three** not only symbolizes the three corners of Sicily but also holds powerful esoteric significance:
- It represents the cosmic forces of Water, Earth, and Air.
- It reflects life’s eternal cycles: dawn, noon, night — youth, maturity, old age — past, present, future.
The *wheat ears* symbolize the land’s fertility.
The legs mark the three extreme points of the island: Capo Peloro (Messina, northeast), Capo Passero (Syracuse, south), and Capo Lilibeo (Marsala, west). This triadic geometry gave birth to the Greek name *Triskeles* and the Latin *Triquetra*, both meaning “three promontories.”
The name *Triskele* literally means “three legs.” Its meaning is immediately apparent and powerful: a symbol of cyclical and eternal motion— a never-ending dance of creation and destruction, transformation and rebirth. The spirals at the end of each leg seem to be in motion, as if alive.
In Celtic symbology, the Triskele is also associated with the sacred number **three**, a number often considered the emblem of perfection across cultures. It represents continual transformation—eternal becoming. It is believed to be a powerful talisman, warding off evil, misfortune, and negative energy.

From this ancient convergence of myth and tradition, *TRISKELÈ* is born.
THE FRAGRANCE
From **Roman culture**, it inherits the top notes:
• **Wine, Red Grapes:** representing the Roman lifestyle of abundance and pleasure;
• **Mediterranean Rosemary:** growing along the Tyrrhenian coast, symbol of immortality and good fortune;
• **Bitter Orange Leaves (Petitgrain):** leaves of a citrus tree present in Italy since ancient times.
From **Greek culture**, it draws the heart notes:
• **Myrrh:** the "blue tears" of perfumery, symbolizing sacrifice;
• **Patchouli:** a legendary ingredient, representing rebellion and freedom. Carefully selected to interact with the base and highlight the warmth of oud.
From **Arab culture**, the base notes:
• **Ambergris:** once as precious as gold, central to ancient trade routes;
• **Oud:** a powerful symbol of virility and life’s struggle, an essence born from the natural infection of the Aquilaria tree.
